FOREVER AMBER

Many non-profits struggle with building websites as they don't have the budget to hire a designer. However, their websites are often a huge source of traffic and potential investors. Having a site that shows off the amazing work they do, is critical to an animal sanctuary like Forever Amber Acres.

When given this project, I didn't have a lot to go on. There were no brand standards or guidelines, not a lot of social media, and hardly any photography. So one of the first things I did was pull together a mood board for the brand. I set up a small photography session and developed a basic system for the look and feel of Forever Amber Acres.

My next step was to identify their target audience, investors, and volunteers. I also gathered basic statistics on their current website performance through Google Analytics. Finally, I laid out a better userflow and began the monumental task of learning how to use wordpress.
